Dean Moody

Dean trained in electronics to become an officer for the Merchant Navy before “falling into” computers at the end of the 70s when he started out as a field engineer.  Through a series of company moves, he quickly progressed to technical director of a PLC at the age of 24.  He then went on to buy into a loss-making company with a partner.  Within a year they had turned it round before going on to acquire further businesses.

As a result of his early career success, Dean took a sabbatical to pursue more personal challenges in life.  Together with his wife, he bought a 15 metre sailing yacht and set off to cruise around the Mediterranean.  While living on the boat they bought a farmstead in the Dordogne.  A huge renovation of the property followed and for the next few years, while their renters were enjoying the pool in the Dordogne, Dean and his wife carried on enjoying their sailing in Turkey.

In 1994 Dean and his wife moved off their yacht and settled in the Dordogne where Dean formed a company supplying computers to end users.  He then moved into providing innovative systems and digital communication to businesses.

After 30 years in the same industry, in 2008 it was time for a complete change.  Owning a beautiful property in such a stunning region has always been an integral part of life for Dean and his family while they have been here in the Dordogne, a fact which led Dean to consider helping others find their own beautiful property.  Looking to offer the whole package, from start to finish, supported by a highly professional approach, joining Classic French Homes has provided him with this opportunity.
