Electrical Survey

'L'etat de l’installation intérieur de l’électricité'

The Electricity Survey is carried out by means of a visual inspection, tests and measures of the electrical installation to identify possible defects which may compromise the safety of the future occupant/s and to prevent risks associated with the state of the electrical installation: electrification, electrocution and fire.

The Electrical Survey only applies to installations of over 15 years old (proof by means of the original certificate of conformity must be provided). Any installation with a certificate of conformity of less than 3 years standing (e.g. in the case of a renovation) is exempted from the Electrical Survey.

The diagnostiqueur inspects the electrical installation from and including the mains switch, performs mandatory tests and measures and provides in the report a list of anomalies with regard to the current norm, XP C16-600. The current legislation was brought into force on the 1st January 2009 and the Electrical Survey report is valid for a period of 3 years.
