French Culture Preserved

The French guard their culture passionately - and rightly so. As a result, many of the old-fashioned values are very much alive and well, particularly at a local level where residents (including the yuouth) are very respectful and polite. Neighboujrs look out for one another,

The same also applies at a commercial level, from the plethora of local weekly markets that still thrive today, to the old-fashioned tradesmen who takes a long term view of the service he provides and the reputation he enjoys.

Culture is celebrated throughout the year, and particularly over the long summer period, with no end of festivals, fairs, exhibitions and re-enactments. Whether celebrations of history or local produce, the French need little excuse to have a party and these provide excellent opportunities to meet, remember, enjoy, learn, appreciate and integrate.
