H104 - Idyllic Water Mill - Local Area

A stunning spot...

Le Grand Moulin straddles the River Gardonette, a tributary of the River Dordogne, of which the grounds occupy the majority of the valley. It offers tranquility and privacy, and yet is only a few kilometers from the villages of Cuneges and Pomport, both of which offer shops. Its 32 acres offers a high degree of diversity - from carefully manicured lawns flanked by mature borders, to meadowland, its own small vineyard, paddock and woodland. Surrounded entirely by beautiful countryside, it is a haven for wildlife - wild boar, deer, hares, birds of prey etc - and its terraces and verandas offer the perfect spot from which to view these delights.

...in a lovely part of the world

Green rolling countryside, old stone farmhouses and barns, fields of sunflowers, vineyards, rivers, grand chateaux, castles in ruins, bastide towns of cobbled streets with fountains, little squares, cafes, the archetypal French farmer complete with beret, derelict old pigeonnieres and pre-historical sites. The list is endless - our photo galleries should give you a flavour, but you really need to come to experience it all for yourselves!!
