The Chateau is set in complete privacy and tranquillity, yet is only a 5 minutes drive from the local village where you will find shops, bars, restaurants and the all important French morning market. Throughout the summer, there are banquets, festivals and events taking place regularly.
The Chateau is a haven for wildlife - wild boar, deer, hares, and birds of prey. The large upper terrace which opens out from the Bar/Tavern, the Dining Room and Kitchen area offers the perfect spot from which to view these delights or just sip your evening aperitif!
There are activities to suit all ages and interests, foodies will enjoy the great local restaurants at the heart of France's centre of gastronomic excellence, as well as the local wine. The Michelin starred restaurant of Michel Guerard is just a 30 minute drive away for that extra special meal.

The famous Jazz festival in Marciac takes place in July and August and is only a 40 minute drive from the Chateau. For the more active, there are Tennis Courts in Aire sur l'Adour and there is a Horse-riding Centre close to the Chateau. The famous pilgrimage town of Lourdes is just over an hour away.
In the winter, it is possible to access the ski slopes of the Pyrenees from the Chateau with Gourette (1hr30), Cauterets (1hr45) and Luz Ardiden (1hr45).

Getting Here

The Chateau is 50 minutes drive (53kms) from the International Airport at Pau where there are flights from Paris, Marseille, London City, Southampton, Dublin and Amsterdam. The Airport at Tarbes Lourdes Pyrenees which is still only an hour away flies from Paris, Stansted, Manchester., Brussels, Milan and Rome. For larger Airports, Bordeaux is just under 2hrs drive away (190kms) and Toulouse is 2hrs and 30 minutes drive (180kms)
