The Bergerie is just 5 minutes from the local village of Monbahus where you can pick up your fresh croissants and bread. You are also ideally located for the towns of Cancon, Castillonnes, and Tombeboeuf.

The Bergerie is ideally located to explore the Lot-et-Garonne and Dordogne being on the borders of each. The medieval villages of Eymet (18kms), Villereal (20kms) and Issigeac (24kms) are all a short drive away. The Dordogne riverside town of Bergerac with a stunning old town and quay is just 40 minutes drive away.

The area is well known for its cuisine and there are an abundance of excellent restaurants catering for every budget. For those who wish to eat in, there are daily morning markets offering the freshest of produce and a chance to sample every day French living. The area has been described as the capital of world prehistory, and those interested are spoilt for choice with caves, museums and chateaux aplenty. There are the famous sites of Lascaux and other prehistoric caves approximately an hour away as well as many interesting chateaux, gardens and museums. For the more active, there is canoeing, rafting, Adventure Tree Parks, riding and climbing to mention just a few.

The Bergerie is located within easy access of an International Airport. It is just a 35 minute drive from Bergerac Airport. Bordeaux and Toulouse Airports are also accessible with approximately a two hour drive.
Ryanair flies into Bergerac, Limoges and Bordeaux from London Stansted, Liverpool, Nottingham, and Bristol. Flybe flies into Bergerac from London Gatwick, Southampton,Exeter and Edinburgh. Twinjet also now flies from Bergerac to Paris.
